Hi

For those that failed to notice i am currently working on better opensuse
support for cobbler. I
collected a bunch of dirty commits in a work branch to see what would be needed
to

 - Fix the cobbler 2.4 packages from repo systemsmanagement (OBS)

 - Upstream as many opensuse patches as possible

 - Make it possible to build, install and develop cobbler from sources on
   opensuse.

 - Add support for virtualenv in modwsgi
   http://code.google.com/p/modwsgi/wiki/VirtualEnvironments

 - Try to ease multi distro support in cobbler if possible

I will reach a state in the next days when i will start to review, consolidate
and improve my
changes to the state where i can do pull requests.

Now my question is where? The current release is 2.4 and afaics there are
currently no plans for a
2.5/2.6? correct? There is only master which is quite a bit ahead of release24.
At least it looks
that way. So does it make sense to submit some of those changes against 2.4?
Will there be a
another 2.4 release?

If yes how are those changes supposed to reach master? Submit a request a
second time? Are
they merged? I tried to merge and failed. Seems to not be possible.

Mike
