Hi Evangelista, The Eucalyptus management servers need 6 kinds of servers which must have different configuration and install different RPM package. -----Original Message----- From: Liao, Bo (Managed Cloud) Sent: Wednesday, April 29, 2015 1:24 PM To: cobbler-devel@lists.fedorahosted.org Subject: RE: [cobbler-devel] design Eucalyptus console server automation installation
Hi Evangelista, My meaning is not VM management. Our requirement is auto install Eucalyptus management servers which is all physics Centos server. I have designed a DHCP+tftp+http+kickstart server to do the task. But my issue is I can't auto control which server to connect correct pxelinux.cfg/default file. So I design multi tftp servers which have different pxelinux.cfg/default file. I know that's is terrible design. Could give me some advise to fixe the issue? -----Original Message----- From: cobbler-devel-boun...@lists.fedorahosted.org [mailto:cobbler-devel-boun...@lists.fedorahosted.org] On Behalf Of Alan Evangelista Sent: Wednesday, April 29, 2015 12:40 PM To: cobbler-devel@lists.fedorahosted.org Subject: Re: [cobbler-devel] design Eucalyptus console server automation installation On 04/29/2015 01:05 AM, Liao, Bo (Managed Cloud) wrote: > > Hi, We are designing automation deploy Eucalyptus system in a large > private cloud data center. You could have used cobbler mailing list, that's the one used by most Cobbler users. VM guests management is out of Cobbler's scope, so I'll focus on the provisioning feature. You want to install one OS per disk or multiple OS'es per disk (multiboot)? If you meant the latter, afaik supporting automated installation with multiboot depends of boot loader/partitioning flexibility in desired Linux distribution and its automated installation process (eg kickstart), not Cobbler. Cobbler only manages the netboot (DHCP+TFTP) and hosts automated installation files (eg kickstart files). I personally never tried multiboot with Cobbler, so other people may provide more details.
