I had trouble with this recently, (reposync wouldn't download kernels because 
it wasn't *seeing* the i686 stuff in the online repos).

I changed the arch to *i686* and it just worked and dragged down the i386 and 
i686 rpms.

Am running cobbler v1.0.3 from EPEL-testing (cobbler-1.0.3-1.el5.noarch.rpm)
