Ok, I'll see about releasing a fix after I can look into this a bit more
just to make sure the fix doesn't cause other problems and that I understand
the cause a little better.
FWIW, this seems to have stemmed from the fix to allow replication
("cobbler replicate") to understand image records, which had some
additional checks to validate the parentage of systems and image objects.
