I think the command line system copy shall clear the MAC and IP information when the duplicate IP check is turned on. This forces you to use the system edit after the system copy to make things work for the new system, but it keeps the old systems untouched. For consistency the webui can also be updated or (add a button) to clear the MAC and IP information when making a system copy.
