Greetings, The following patch set includes a Rexx script written by Brad Hinson <[email protected]> and several cobbler fixes to leverage the zpxe.rexx script. Setup instructions will be landing on the wiki soon. Over-simplified ...
1) Upload zpxe.rexx to your zVM guests 2) Create a zpxe.conf file (includes COBBLER_SERVER and other config variables) 3) Have zpxe.rexx run out of profile.exec when the guests starts >From there ... * If your zVM guest is not recognized by cobbler (e.g. no system record), the guest will be presented with a profile_list menu * If your zVM guest is recognized by cobbler *AND* has netboot_enabled=0, the guest will be presented with a profile_list menu (timout to local boot coming soon) * If your zVM guest is recognized by cobbler *AND* has netboot_enabled=1, the guest will initiate a kickstart install as directed by cobbler There will likely be a few changes following this set as we continue to test.
