Douglas Hofstadter has written a book that touches on this subject: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6del,_Escher,_Bach ;-) On a more serious note: I do occasionally deploy cobblers with cobbler (and the recursion ends there, really) for testing/devel purposes, but these are just bare instances with just the package added in %post that is installed from some repo. Works for me, is there anything special you're looking for?
