I meant to follow up; I tried the RPM and had the same problem. Should I file a bug or have you already done this? > Anyway, your text correction isn't quite right because the menus are for > profiles only, system records don't show up in the menus. What it said > seems right to me. > > What that was trying to say was that if you say "AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF" is > already in Cobbler, that will boot automatically and not give the menu. > That's just how the PXE menus work and that isn't specific to memtest. I was confused by the behaviour/bug and assumed that the documentation was incorrect. I am maintaining system records for all of the hosts that I manage, so the auto-configuration of memtest is not going to do much in my case anyway. If I understand correctly, I need to add an entry for memtest in pxesystem.template if I want it to appear in the system's PXE configuration file. Is it possible to associate a PXE system template to a profile? For example, I would like all of my HP servers to have an entry in their PXE boot menu to boot the HP Firmware Updates CD, but I do not want this entry to appear for my IBM servers. -- Chris O'Regan <[email protected]> Senior Unix Systems Administrator, Academic IT Services Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science Concordia University, Montreal, Canada _______________________________________________ cobbler mailing list [email protected] https://fedorahosted.org/mailman/listinfo/cobbler
