Thanks guys, I already had OpenIPMI installed, but I needed OpenIPMI-tools aswell
For the record " yum provides ipmitool" didn't work even after it was installed and "yum provides */ipmitool" worked only after it was installed # yum provides ipmitool Loaded plugins: fastestmirror Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * epel: ga14.files.bigpond.com:4040 * base: mirror.aarnet.edu.au * updates: mirror.primusdatacentre.com.au * addons: mirror.aarnet.edu.au * extras: mirror.aarnet.edu.au Warning: 3.0.x versions of yum would erronously match against filenames. You can use "*/ipmitool" and/or "*bin/ipmitool" to get that behaviour No Matches found Cheers, Anthony > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:cobbler- > [email protected]] On Behalf Of Dylan Swift > Sent: Tuesday, 7 July 2009 5:52 PM > To: cobbler mailing list > Subject: Re: where can I get ipmitool for Centos 5.3? > > Hi Anthony, > > 2009/7/7 Anthony Giggins <[email protected]>: > > where can I get ipmitool for Centos 5.3? > > >From one of my CentOS servers: > > [r...@repository1 ~]# lsb_release -d > Description: CentOS release 5.3 (Final) > [r...@repository1 ~]# yum list OpenIPMI* > Loaded plugins: fastestmirror > Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile > Available Packages > OpenIPMI.i386 > 2.0.6-11.el5 > base > OpenIPMI-devel.i386 > 2.0.6-11.el5 > base > OpenIPMI-libs.i386 > 2.0.6-11.el5 > base > OpenIPMI-perl.i386 > 2.0.6-11.el5 > base > OpenIPMI-python.i386 > 2.0.6-11.el5 > base > OpenIPMI-tools.i386 > 2.0.6-11.el5 > base > [r...@repository1 ~]# > > > so there are some IPMI packages in the base repository > > HTH > > Dylan > _______________________________________________ > cobbler mailing list > [email protected] > https://fedorahosted.org/mailman/listinfo/cobbler _______________________________________________ cobbler mailing list [email protected] https://fedorahosted.org/mailman/listinfo/cobbler
