personnally https://fedorahosted.org/cobbler/wiki/HowWeModelThings and https://fedorahosted.org/cobbler/attachment/wiki/ChartsAndGraphs/code.png always helped figuring out the relationships. the latter is a bit outdated I think. But I guess you already went through it.
