Hi

We are using cobbler for provisioning and spacewalk for management. I am now
needing to use proxies to be able to centrally manage hosts but also allow
local installs.

I have setup a spacewalk proxy but experience the following issue, during
install the client gets the ks through the proxy and anaconda starts. Stage2 is
downloaded and the repo data is retrieved again all through the proxy without
problem. The issue is that when the actual rpm transaction starts the packages
can't be downloaded it just sits asking to retry. Strangly if I get another
terminal on the client I can wget the rpm using the same URL that anaconda
seems to have the issue with so I am a bit stumped. If I put a proxypass rule
on the proxy so that it points directly to the server, bypassing squid, the
install works although nothing is caches so slightly defeats the point.

Any clues anyone as I am tearing my hair out here as it makes no sense to me.

How do others achieve this?

Thanks
