Yeah, I did... Have a working netboot image now, after some fiddling around with the non-free firmware nuisance....
Took me a while to figure out which install image to pick for debian netboot that would work. I'd still be interested in talking to people that do large scale hands-off installs of debian using cobbler + preseed Currently working on getting an initrd setup that will allow configuration of hardware raid controllers through a preseed.cfg file which is something I'd need to do mass installs of completely unconfigured hardware delivered into our remote datacenters. I realize that this has nothing to do with cobbler per se but was kinda hoping there would be folks around that would have tried this. What is your policy on updating the wiki, can I just add a page and start writing ? /Ramon On Thu, May 31, 2012 at 1:33 PM, Jörgen Maas <[email protected]> wrote: > On Wed, May 30, 2012 at 8:56 PM, Ramon van Alteren <[email protected]> > wrote: >> >> >> So far I've only found information about ubuntu, but surely there must >> be people using cobbler to install debian hosts ? >> > > There should not be (much) difference between importing/using Debian and > other distros, at least not from a Cobbler perspective. > Did you read: https://github.com/cobbler/cobbler/wiki/Start%20Here ? > > -- > Grtz, > Jörgen Maas > > _______________________________________________ > cobbler mailing list > [email protected] > https://fedorahosted.org/mailman/listinfo/cobbler > _______________________________________________ cobbler mailing list [email protected] https://fedorahosted.org/mailman/listinfo/cobbler
