I had this sorts-kinda-working a while back.
I will see if I can exhume my notes.

The problem is that the way cobbler operates, you need to get a way to tell it
to NOT reformat the USB thumb and try to make it part of the system you are
installing.

Again, I was tinkering with this and got sidetracked. I will try to look for
notes.

Subject: [cobbler] stand alone iso to usb

I have been going through some old mailing list emails trying to find an answer
to this. I need to take the output buildiso standalone and put it on a USB. Has
anyone successfully done this recently? I tried feeding the iso into unetbootin
to create the usb. That resulted in 'no operating system found' when attempting
to boot from it. I am in the middle of trying it with livecd-iso-to-disk. Any
other ideas?

Thanks!
