Ok thanks, I did a bunch of google’n, reading cobbler version manuals, etc and couldn’t find any definitive answer on this.
Thanks again!! PS I’ll post back and let the list know if I encounter anything and remediation if necessary. It also backs up the config before upgrade; I think under /var/log/cobbler/backups. If you are worried you can tar up /etc/cobbler and /var/lib/cobbler beforehand. If your cobbler server is a VM, you could snapshot it before upgrading :) rpm -ql cobbler will give you an idea of what to backup before you upgrade cobbler. Don't forget cobbler-web if you have that. -- Alastair Munro -----Original Message----- From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Fri, 13 Mar 2015 18:14 Subject: Re: [cobbler] Upgrading cobbler from 2.4.4 to 2.6.3 Is it as easy as yum update cobbler cobbler-web? I’d rather not have to rebuild or install a new server for this.
