The physical box has only one network interface? If there are multiple nw
interfaces, make sure you are testing netboot with the same one you tested with
dhclient.
If you execute dhclient without specifying -s parameter (server IP address), it
also works?
Doing that will broadcast the DHCP request and that is what will be done during
netboot.
