While snowshoeing on a very warm and sunny day in Rocky Mountain
National Park, I encountered a pair, maybe three Three-toed
Woodpeckers near Dream Lake. This lake is uphill from the Bear Lake
parking area that is popular with many snowshoers, skiers, etc. I'd
never had them in this place before, but their drumming was
unmistakeable.
