Dear CoBirds members, We have some (read LOTS) overstock of back issues of Colorado Birds that we are wanting to unload. As Maggie Boswell and Tony have pointed out, there are several issues that address identifying specific species and other goodies.
At present we are offering back issues from 2006 and prior for only the cost of postage. $1 (ONE!) dollar each. Let me highlight a few issues brought to my attention: Tony's fine article on Scoter ID is on pp. 70-72 of the January 2008 issue of Colorado Birds (thanks Dave) Vol 33, No 2, p 118 has an article on arrival & departure dates for CO written by Bill K Vol 36, No 3 has the state review list with various classifications Vol 38, No 1 has corrigenda and additions to the prior article (thanks Maggie) I know there is a wealth of info in other past issues and I have a car load of boxes in my garage and more I'll be picking up soon. Please note: I'll need 4-6 weeks or so to put orders together, especially if I get a lot of requests so please be patient. A nice way to purchase and minimized paper use is to go to paypal and send money to [email protected], and specify which issues you want. You may drop me a line first to check if we have all the issues you are interested in. If you need to do it snail mail, send to POB 643 Boulder, Co. 80306. For ease of processing, if you send a few more dollars than issues requested, we'll send a few extra. Help CFO lighten the load! After this, the extra issues will be brought to the convention and ones remaining after that will visit the recycle center. We do have archive copies, so don't worry that we are not saving any! Thank you! Connie Kogler, Membership Chair.
