Hi All,
On the 19th of January, I photographed a pale, juvenile Red-tailed Hawk in
Weld County. At first I thought it was a Krider's, but then read some
things on the web that seemed to rule that out in favor of a Harlan's. I
sent the photos to Bill Schmoker for his opinion. He thought that it might
actually be a Krider's. He sent the photos on to Brian Wheeler, Jerry
Liguori, and Tony Leukering and I have just been informed that it is indeed
a Krider's Hawk. You can read some details and see a couple of photos of
the bird on our blog ... suchboys.blogspot.com under the entry South Platte
Birding.

Also in that blog entry are photos of a Glaucous Gull and a Mute Swan that
we saw later that day around 88th and the South Platte.
