Bent County:
--7 Swamp Sparrows and 1 LE CONTE'S SPARROW were reported by Nelson at the
west end of John Martin Reservoir on January 31.  The area is south of Rd JJ
and west of Rd 20.

Boulder County:
--A Turkey Vulture was reported by Nunes soaring near the intersection of
South Boulder Road and Cherryvale on January 30.  Kaempfer reported a Turkey
Vulture near Baseline and Foothills Hwy in Boulder on February 1.
--Two White-winged Scoters were reported by Nunes at the Valmont Reservoir
complex in Boulder on January 31.  The scoters were seen again on February 1
by the First Sunday Birders of the Boulder Bird Club.
--A Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch was reported by Kaempfer at Fawnbrook Inn in
Allenspark on January 31.
--An adult GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL was reported by Zilly at McIntosh Lake in
Longmont on February 2.

El Paso County:
--An adult MEW GULL was reported by Peterson at Big Johnson on January 29.

Fremont County:
--A Rufous-crowned Sparrow was reported by Moss at Tunnel Drive in Canon
City on January 29.

Gunnison County:
--Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches were reported by Powers in Crested Butte on
January 29.
You can view the feeders from your vehicle.  The address is 324 Whiterock.
The flock sits in the Cottonwood Trees which surround the house.

Jefferson County:
--4 swans (3 ad, 1 juv) were reported by Fleming on Coors Pond on January
29.

Larimer County:
--A Swamp Sparrow was reported by Kaempfer below the dam at Lake Estes on
January 31.

Mesa County:
--A White-winged Crossbill was reported by Beason on the Skyway Trail of
Grand Mesa on January 31 and February 1.

Pitkin County:
--Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches were reported by Filby at Sam's Knob of Snowmass
on January 28.

Pueblo County:
--White-winged Doves were reported by Percival in the Sunset Park
subdivision of Pueblo on January 29.
--At Pueblo Reservoir on January 29 Percival and the DFO field trip had:
----1 female Surf Scoter
----a pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes
----3 juv Thayer's Gulls
----5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (3 ad, 2 first/second cycle)
----1 first/second year Glaucous Gull
----1 adult GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL
----15 Lapland Longspurs
--At Rock Canyon, below Pueblo Reservoir dam Percival and the DFO field trip
had 1 first-cycle ICELAND GULL on January 29.

The DFO field trip for Saturday, February 7 will be to the Longmont Area led
by Chris Owens (303-772-6048).  Meet the leader at 0800 at Jim Hamm Nature
Center.  Trip will end around noon, so lunch is optional, but bring snacks
and drinking water.  Dress for changing weather. Will carpool as needed.

The DFO field trip for Sunday, February 8 will be to the Wheat Ridge
Greenbelt led by Patty Echelmeyer (303-233-4947).  Meet the leader at 0900
at Prospect Park lake, south of West 44th Ave just east of Robb St.  Easy
walk, will finish by noon so lunch is optional.  Bring snacks and water.
