Hi everyone, Even though it is February, spring is definitely in the air. Seeing American White Pelicans and Sandhill Cranes yesterday reinforced that thought for me.
Spring is also the time for the CFO convention which is being held in Alamosa, May 22 – 25. At the convention we honor a fellow member of the CFO community via The Ronald A. Ryder Award for Distinguished Service to Colorado Field Ornithology. We are accepting nominations for this prestigious award at this time. More information about the award is available at: http://www.cfo-link.org/about_CFO/awards.php Additionally, we are also considering nominations for the Lifetime Achievement award. Throughout the year we accept nominations for any special awards to be given to businesses, landowners and other individuals who allow access to private property in order to view rare or unusual birds. All nominations can be sent to me, Brad Steger, at: [email protected] Please use the subject “CFO Nomination” in your email. Include the following in your e-mail: Your name: Name of person(s)/business you are nominating: Award you are nominating the person(s)/business for: Reason for nomination: I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the convention in May and thank you in advance for all nominations.
