Hi cobirders Re: early nesting. On Monday March 9 there were about 30 Double-crested Cormorants on nests in the one tree rookery on the island in Tabor Lake west of Prospect Pond in the Wheat Ridge Green Belt. This spot has been monitored for years by Warren Finch. First few years there were several Great Blue Herons but have since been driven out by the Cormorants. Bob Spencer NE of Golden
