A quick stop at Jumbo Res at 10am Friday found a few interesting birds. The
thousands of geese included an estimated 500 White-fronted and many Ross's.
About 1 in 50 of the "white" geese were the blue form. Of the many gulls a
few were close enough to confidently ID. These included 2 adult and 2 first
year Glaucous and an adult Lesser Black-backed. Most of the rest were
Herring/Thayer's types. We are going to try to spend some more time there
Saturday.
