Bent  County: 
--A female EASTERN TOWHEE was  reported by Teuton in the Wood Thrush Grove at 
the intersection of County Roads  16 and JJ on March 15. 
Fremont  County: 
--A Rufous-crowned Sparrow was  reported by Chartier along Tunnel Drive in 
Canon City on March  17. 
Logan/Sedgwick  Counties: 
--A Black-legged Kittiwake was  reported by Miller on the east end of Jumbo 
Reservoir, at the picnic area near  the corner of CR28 and CR3, on March 21. 
--Several Northern Cardinals  were reported by Larson at Tamarack East on 
March  21. 
Moffat  County: 
--A TRUMPETER SWAN was reported  by Komar on Hwy 13, about a mile south of 
Craig in a large pond on the west  side, below an scenic overlook pullout on 
March 20. 
Prowers  County: 
--A Red-bellied Woodpecker  (male) was reported by Leatherman at the Lamar 
Community College woods and at  the Willow Valley subdivision in Lamar on March 
21 and March 22.   
--A pair of White-winged Doves  was reported by Leatherman at the Willow 
Valley subdivision in Lamar on March  22. 
--A Chihuahuan Raven was  reported by Leatherman  west of the  ATT tower on 
US287 on March 22. 
--A Harris’s Sparrow was  reported by Leatherman at a private feeder near 
Wiley on March  22. 
Pueblo  County: 
--White-winged Doves were  reported by Teuton along Dartmouth, near Sunset 
Park in Pueblo on March  17. 
Routt  County: 
--A large flock (150+) of  Bohemian Waxwings was reported by Litteral at Lake 
Catamount on March 15.  They were seen again by Dodson on March  16. 
Weld  County: 
--A Glaucous Gull (imm.) and a  Lesser Black-backed Gull (adult) were 
reported by Lefko at the Weld Landfill on  March 21. 
The DFO Field Trip for Saturday  March 28 will be to the Sedalia Area, led by 
Lynn Willcockson  (303)757-7000.  Meet leader at 0800  at the Sedalia Post 
Office on Hwy 67 just south of its intersect with Hwy.  85.  Half-day trip; 
lunch  optional.  Please notify leader if  you plan to attend. 
The DFO Field Trip for Sunday  March 29 will be to Bear Creek Lake Park, led 
by Mike Henwood (303)716-8551 or  (303)840-5070(cell).  Meet leader at  0800 
at the entrance to the park.  Half-day trip; bring water and snacks, and be 
prepared for variable  weather.  If you do not have an  annual pass, a $5 day 
pass is required.  Please register with leader in advance.
