Greetings,
Some friends and I have an upcoming trip to CO next month- I greatly appreciate
all the helpful bits of advice, suggestions, and other info that many of you
have already provided. As the time is getting nearer, a few questions arose
which I hope you can help us with:
* Delta County- Fruitgrowers Reservoir- will Sandhill Cranes still be
staging here in mid April? We'll only have time for 1 or 2 stops on our way
from Grand Junction to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, and we're trying to
decide between Fruitgrowers, Escalante Canyon, and Confluence Park- any
comments would be appreciated.
* Will species such as Lazuli Bunting, Gray Flycatcher, Black-throated Gray
Warbler, Lesser Goldfinch, Black-chinned or Broad-tailed Hummingbirds, or even
Grace's Warbler be in yet by mid-late April?
* Clear Creek County- Georgetown- is this still a good place to check for
Rosy-finches at people's feeders?
* Could you please suggest the closest place to stay for the night if
birding Pawnee (Murphy's Pasture) the following morning?
* After Pawnee, we'll have some afternoon hours left before needing to head
to DIA- any suggestions would be appreciated. Beebe Draw? LoLoff Reservoir?
Thanks again.
