In my haste to send off the post today about the videos and the Black
Phoebes, I inaccurately referred to the plumage on one of the Black Phoebes
as juvenal. Though the bird retains some juvenal primary, secondary and
covert feathers (tipped with brownish coloration) from an incomplete
Prebasic I molt, this is a Basic I plumage phase.

This afternoon the two Black Phoebes on my friend's property were exploring
the area where Black Phoebes have nested most every year since this species
first known nesting in Fremont County some years ago.
