Last night Michelle and I walked to Lee Martinez Park and tried for Eastern Screech-Owl along the poudre bike trail. The almost full moon brightened up the night nicely and it usually isn't very productive to go owling when the moon is bright but we had one Eastern Screech-Owl respond. This beast almost took my head off when we were calling it in and then flew to a nearby branch and gave us a nice sonata.
