Adams County: --An Eastern Phoebe was found by Peterson at the Old Stone House at Barr Lake on April 11. Arapahoe County: --2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls were reported by Stecher at Cherry Creek State Park on April 11. The gulls were seen from the Lake Loop. Boulder County: --Two immature White-winged Scoters (1 male, 1 female) were reported by Nunes at Baseline Reservoir in Boulder on April 11. The pair of scoters was seen again on April 13 by Kaempfer. --5 Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches (2 Hepburn's) and 1 Black Rosy-Finch were reported by Nunes at Fawn Brook Inn in Allenspark on April 12. --A MEW GULL was reported by Szeliga at Cottonwood Marsh on March 29 and Szeliga saw the gull again on April 15. --An adult Thayer's Gull in alternate plumage was reported by Floyd at Greenlee Preserve in Lafayette on April 16. Denver County: --2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls were reported by Jones at Marston Reservoir on the western shore on April 11. --A pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes was reported by Mulholland in Denver near Evans Ave and the Platte River on April 14. This would be a few blocks west of Santa Fe Drive and Evans. El Paso County: --A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Brown on the Dakota Hogback on the west side of Colorado Springs on April 16. --A Winter Wren was reported by Maynard at Fountain Creek Regional Park on April 16. It was at marker 18 which is best reached from the Willow Springs Parking Area. Fremont County: --A pair of Black Phoebes was reported by Elwonger at a new pond at Pathfinder Regional Park west of Florence on April 14. Gunnison County: --Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches continue to visit the feeder of Linda Powers in Crested Butte at least through April 8. Nunes reported 2 Gray-crowned and 1 Black Rosy-Finch at Linda's feeder on April 11. The address is 324 Whiterock. You can view the feeders from your vehicle. The flock sits in the Cottonwood Trees which surround the house. Hinsdale County: --All three species of Rosy-Finches were reported by Zerbi at 8th & Hotchkiss in Lake City on April 12. Jefferson County: --A Harris's Sparrow was reported by Kingery at the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt on April 11. Directions: from the main Prospect Park parking lot, head west about 100 ft along the trail on north side of Clear Creek. --A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Smart over Dinosaur Ridge on April 15. Kit Carson County: --White-winged Doves were reported by Smith in Burlington on April 11. Larimer County: --A Caspian Tern was reported by Biggerstaff at Wellinton Downs Pit pond at the intersection of Kechter Rd and CR 7 (Strauss Cabin Road) on April 15. This is west of I-25 between the Windsor and Harmony Exits. Logan County: --A Red-bellied Woodpecker was reported by DeFonso on CR 55 over the Platte on April 11. --Northern Cardinals were reported by DeFonso at Tamarack Ranch SWA on April 11. Routt County: --A pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes was reported at Stagecoach Reservoir by Dodson on April 14. --3 Pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported at Catamount Reservoir by Dodson on April 14. Summit County: --7 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Nims at the pond at Angler Mountain Ranch on April 9. On April 11, Nunes reported 12 Barrow's Goldeneyes at the pond at Angler Mountain Ranch. --All 3 species of Rosy-Finches were reported by Nims in the Wildernest area of Silverthorne on April 16. --3 Black Rosy-Finch were reported by Nims in the village of Heeney (Green Mountain Reservoir) on April 16. Weld County: --A female VERMILION FLYCATCHER and Eastern Phoebe were reported by Kogler at Crow Valley on April 15. On April 16, Sanders reported that the VERMILION FLYCATCHER was in the farm machinery area at Crow Valley. Yuma County: --A YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER was reported by Wood at Bonny Reservoir on the south side of the lake on April 11. --A Northern Cardinal was reported by Smith at Bonny Reservoir on April 11. The DFO field trip for Saturday, April 18 will be to The Arsenal led by David Rhoades (303-424-8644). You must register with the leader for meeting time and place.
