Hello

Checked a ton of water from Coors Pond to Standley Lake this morning and found
Common loon at three locations. One at Arvada Reservoir where birders are
allowed to drive in for free, one at the newer reservoir along Highway 72
between Indiana and Highway 93, and one in the northwest corner of Standley
Lake.

At Tucker Lake which is just northeast of Arvada Reservoir a new rookery has
started. There were 10+ Black-crowned night herons in the trees and three of
them on nests. How soon before the Cormorants move in?

Have fun
