In case you were thinking of heading down here. We saw the pelican around 1:50
this afternoon, and it was still there when we left, but others saw it leave
shortly thereafter, and it has not been relocated. The report I heard was that
it was fighting for elevation and flying into the wind, towards the south. It
did not stop at Denny Lake.

Dad and I will be out again in the morning looking. There is a dust storm here
now, low visibility, so we will not go out again this evening. If the pelican
is around in the morning, I will make a few calls and get it online.

I apologize if I am stealing anyone's reporting on this or any other birds,
just got off the phone with someone who had contemplated a multi-hour drive to
see it, and don't want folks to come down if it is no longer here.
