In addition, Cindy Cornelius found 12 Whimbrell at Lower Latham. I called Gary
Matthews and he and Scott Roederer and his companion all got to see this
special sight. Then, Scott Roederer and/or Gary Matthews found an American
Bittern out in the open right next to the road (at Lower Latham) and called
Cindy and she and I got to see it before it flew. Of course we saw the birds
Rachel reported at CR45 and CR46, except I don't remember a Willet, but very
large numbers of Long-billed Dowitchers, quite a few Western Sandpipers, and
much else, but nothing else really unusual other than the gorgeous Dunlin. I
found a couple of Willets at Union Reservoir, but not much else.

COBirders,

I went to Lower Latham this morning hoping for the Ruddy Turnstone but no
luck. The Dunlin is still at 46 & 45 and a couple of new arrivals this
morning (for me) at that location were one Pectoral Sandpiper, 2 Stilt
Sandpipers a single Willet and a single Marbled Godwit.
