Dear Cobirders,
Another birdy morning at Twin Lakes in Gunbarrel this morning
(5/10). I ran into Peter Gent, Maggie Boswell, Joyce Takamine, Joanie
Kleypas, Mary (? I think, sorry) and two other birders (sorry again,
I need to do a better job with birder identification) and we were
fortunate to find at least one, but likely more than one Black-
throated Gray Warblers, one female Blackpoll Warbler, Yellow Warblers,
Yellow-rumped Warblers, Orange-crowned Warblers and one Black-throated
Green Warbler. The most active spot was at the southern end of the
canal between the two lakes. Other goodies included many Clay-colored
Sparrows and a flyover of 5 Franklin's Gull. As I mentioned
yesterday, the birding seems to just stop at some point in the morning
and all of the birds disappear; today that time was around 9AM.

Cheers,
Walter Szeliga
