The sparrow fallout continued east of Longmont today with Chipping, Lark,
Brewer's, Clay-colored, Vesper, Savannah, White-crowned, and Song all easy
to find (hard to miss), and Lincoln's findable. Some of the White-crowns
are the dark-lored type (Oriantha or Leucophrys?). It was the first time we
had ever seen the two types together (and recognized the fact). Union
had Long-billed Dowitchers, Marbled Godwits, and Willets in addition to the
regulars. Lots of Yellow-rumps and a few Swainson's Thrushes and silent
empids also. Bill and Inez Prather, Longmont
