Adams County:
--At Rocky Mountain Arsenal on the spring count, Kingery reported 1
Blackpoll Warbler, 1 Ovenbird, and 8 Northern Waterthrush on May 10.

Baca County:
--At Two Buttes, Schaum reported Great Crested Flycatcher and 2 Northern
Waterthrush on May 11.

Bent County:
--2 alternate plumaged Ruddy Turnstones were reported by Nelson on the south
side of Adobe Creek Reservoir on May 7.  One Ruddy Turnstone and 2 Piping
Plovers were reported by Shaum at Adobe Creek on May 10.  Directions:  Take
CR 10 to CR UU.  Go west to spillway to dam, head north from gates.
--An ACADIAN FLYCATCHER was reported by Percival on the west side of Van's
Grove on May 12.  This would be a first state record if accepted.
--At Tempel's Grove on May 11, Schaum reported a f Hooded Warbler, Ovenbird,
Worm-eating Warbler, and Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

Boulder County:
--At Walden/Sawhill Ponds in Boulder
----A Green Heron was reported by Mark Miller on May 10.
----2 Caspian Terns were reported by Mark Miller on May 10 and they were
seen again on May 11 by Zorawowicz.
--At Twin Lakes in the Gunbarrel:
----A Black-throated Gray Warbler was reported by Szeliga on May 9 and May
10.
----On May 10 Szeliga reported female Blackpoll Warbler and Black-throated
Green Warbler.
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Waltman at Sale Lake in Boulder on
May 9 and it was seen again on May 11 by Frye.
--On May 10, Larson reported a Broad-winged Hawk by the wood lot east of
55th
St and Boulder Creek.
--A female Tennessee Warbler was reported by Larson along Boulder Creek
below the CU campus on May 10.
--A Rose-breasted Grosbeak was reported by Nunes near Colorado Ave and
Mohawk (just west of Foothills Pkwy) in Boulder on May 10.
--On May 10 along the bike path along Boulder Creek between 30th St and
Arapahoe in Boulder, Nunes reported 1 first summer Summer Tanager, 1 male
Blackpoll Warbler, 1 Northern Waterthrush.  The Blackpoll Warbler was seen
again on May 11 by Kaempfer.
--A Green Heron was reported by the Such brothers in Lyons on a pond south
of the intersection of Hwy 36 and McConnell Drive on May 2 and was seen
again by the Such boys on May 10.
--At Greenelee Preserve in Lafayette, Floyd reported 1 GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH
and 2 Blackpoll Warblers on May 11.
--A Nashville Warbler was reported by Szeliga along Boulder Creek below the
CU campus on May 12.

El Paso County:
--An adult male Tennessee Warbler and male Rose-breasted Grosbeak were
reported by Lewantowicz at Sonderman Park in Colorado Springs on May 9.  The
Tennessee Warbler was seen again on May 10 by Burns.
--On May 10, Lewantowicz reported the following at Fountain Creek Regional
Park:  1 male Northern Parula, 1 male Tennessee Warbler, 1 Northern
Waterthrush, 2 male Indigo Buntings and 3 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks.
--On May 10, Breitsch reported 1 Magnolia Warbler at Fountain Creek Regional
Park.
--A female Northern Parula was reported by Getty along the creek behind the
Bear Creek Nature Center on May 10.
--A Green Heron was reported by Lee on May 10 on the eastern edge of Black
Forest area of Colorado Springs off of Murphy Road on the pond on the north.
--A White-eyed Vireo was reported by Burns in Sonderman Park in Colorado
Springs on May 12.

El Paso/Pueblo Counties:
--At Chico Basin Ranch (fee):
----On May 11, Gibbons banded 1 male Summer Tanager and a female
Black-and-white Warbler.
----On May 11, Brown reported a female Chestnut-sided Warbler, a pair of
Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, and a White-throated Sparrow on the ranch and
Black-throated Blue Warbler and Northern Waterthrush at headquarters.
----On May 12, Gibbons banded a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak and Brown
reported seen around the ranch were a f Rose-breasted Grosbeak and m
Tennessee Warbler.

Larimer County:
--At Lee Martinez Park in Fort Collins:
----On May 10 Sparks reported 1 Northern Waterthrush and 1 Worm-eating
Warbler.
----On May 10, Keirn reported 2 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and a Broad-winged
Hawk.
----On May 10, DeFonso reported  pair of Northern Parula.
----On May 11, Panjabi reported a female Tennessee Warbler and Northern
Waterthrush.
----On May 11, Webb reported a Green Heron.
--A Little Blue Heron was reported by Somermeyer on the east side of the
south pond on Sharp Point Drive in Fort Collins on May 11.
--An Ovenbird was reported by Matthews at Lake Estes on a hill below the dam
on May 11.
--A Palm Warbler was reported by Matthews at Lake Estes below the dam on May
12.
--A female Black-throated Gray Warbler was found by Ward at the
Matthews-Reeser Bird Sanctuary at Lake Estes on May 12.

Prowers County:
--At Lamar Community College woods:
----On May 10, Ogle reported a Northern Waterthrush and Great Crested
Flycatcher.
----On May 12, Schaum reported 1 male Black-and-white Warbler and 2 Northern
Waterthrush.
--A Nashville Warbler was reported by Schaum at Fairmont Cemetery in Lamar
on May 11.

Pueblo County:
--A female Rose-breasted Grosbeak was reported by Percival in Pueblo City
Park along the Frisbee Golf Course Creek on May 11.

Washington County:
--2 Northern Waterthrush were reported by Lawrence at Last Chance on May 9
and was seen again on May 10 by Roller.
--At Pruett in the SW corner Jones reported 1 f Tennessee Warbler and 1 f
Indigo Bunting on May 10.

Weld County:
--A female Hooded Warbler was reported by Dunning as seen on May 8 and May
10 at Crow Valley.  The bird is best found SW of the picnic shelter.
--At Crow Valley on May 11, Leatherman reported a male Hooded Warber, 3-5
White-throated Sparrows, and 1 Northern Waterthrush.  He reported that the
Female Hooded Warbler was seen eariler on May 11 by Hooper.
--A Field Sparrow was reported by Leatherman at the Briggsdale Cemetery on
May 11.

There is a field trip to Bonnie State Park, Friday to Sunday, May 15 to 17
led by Bob Righter (303-692-8529).  Meet the leader at Foster's Campground
at 1700, Friday night.  The Friday night group will bird around Foster's
Campground area.  You can camp there or stay in a motel in Idelia or
Burlington.  You will need to bring all meals.  Trip will end at noon on
Sunday. State Parks Pass required.

The DFO field trip for Saturday, May 16 will be to Barr Lake State Park led
by Jackie King (303-287-1644).  Meet the leader at the Nature Center at Barr
Lake at 0800.  Bring lunch and drinking water.  State Parks Pass required.

The DFO field trip for Sunday, May 17 will be to Two Ponds and Rocky Flats
led by Dave Rhoades (303-424-8633).  Meet the leader at 0800 in the Two
Ponds parking lot and bird there until time to load the van for the trip to
Rocky Flats.  This will be a 3/4 day trip ending about 1 pm so lunch is
optional but bring water and snacks.  Participation is limited so call
leader to make reservations and get directions.
