Three male Bobolinks were reported near Pelican Point in Bear Creek Lake Park (BCLP) today. The birds were first reported by Joe Lupfer and Karen Clark around 1:00 P.M. Mike Foster and a group of birders had seen the Bobolinks in the same vicinity earlier in the morning. The only other sighting I have in BCLP is one Male in the same spot on 5-17-04.
Park in the NE corner of the gravel parking lot above Pelican Point, then work the shrubby areas from the lake west toward Fitness Station #1, where there is a line of smaller cottonwood trees. The birds were seen close to the NE corner of the parking lot.
