Dear Co-birders:
I tried to send a message just now about seeing a Horned Grebe coming
into breeding plumage, along the Arkansas River, at Runyon Lake yesterday.
(April 9th) That message did not appear with the others when I went back and
clicked it up. And I haven't the energy to describe the bird all over again.
Perhaps it wasn't such a big deal. But it sure was to me-since the only
other place I've seen a Horned Grebe in breeding plumage was Alaska! Only
its neck still had some white on it-the rest of the bird was WOW! Mymm
Ackley (If THIS message doesn't make it onto the list..it'll be my last
try.)
