Hi COBirders, Again, hot and slow today - and hoping for a weather change. 34 new birds banded by Brian Gibbons (Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory), and S Brown (volunteer). A few good birds had arrived, but it seemed like many resident birds today. Banding is scheduled to continue through Friday.
Seen around the banding station - nesting Black-chinned Hummingbirds (and one caught, but not banded), nesting Am Robin, Ash-throated Flycatcher, the banded Am Restart (sy, m) is still around, as is the banded Indigo Bunting (m), Common Nighthawk in the grove, a few Bullock's and Orchard Orioles, and W Tanagers.
