Hi COBirders,

Again, hot and slow today - and hoping for a weather change. 34 new
birds banded by Brian Gibbons (Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory), and S
Brown (volunteer). A few good birds had arrived, but it seemed like
many resident birds today. Banding is scheduled to continue through
Friday.

Seen around the banding station - nesting Black-chinned Hummingbirds
(and one caught, but not banded), nesting Am Robin, Ash-throated
Flycatcher, the banded Am Restart (sy, m) is still around, as is the
banded Indigo Bunting (m), Common Nighthawk in the grove, a few
Bullock's and Orchard Orioles, and W Tanagers.

Banding Highlights Tuesday:

FOS Orchard Oriole (asy, m)
FOS Cordilleran Flycatcher
Swainson's Thrush (2, none yesterday)
Hermit Thrush (still getting new ones, 3)
MacGillivray's Warbler (f)
Orange-crowned Warbler (f)
Yellow Warbler (f)
Wilson's Warbler (m)
Warbling Vireo
Plumbeous Vireo
Brown Thrasher
Western Tanager (2 asy m)

and some local House Finch, Eur Starling, and Red-winged Blackbird
