Hi --

We birded Lair o¹ the Bear on Bear Creek in Jefferson County on Sunday
morning with two other birders from Evergreen. Very birdy until about 10 am
when the number of dog walkers exceeded the number of birds.

Lazuli Bunting abounded just west of the parking lot
Dusky Flycatcher with a very unusual severely notched tail (like missing
feathers)
Three swallow types:
Violet-Green
Rough-winged
Tree
With possibility of Tree

Plenty of Lesser Goldfinches
American Goldfinch
Cedar Waxwing
Black-capped Chickadee
Mountain Chickadee (fairly unusual in this park)
Red-tailed Hawk
Turkey Vulture
House Wren
House Finch

Bullock¹s Oriole
Warbling Vireo
Virginia¹s Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black-headed Grosbeak
Western Wood Pewee
Spotted Towhee
Broad-tailed Hummingbird
Mountain Bluebird
Western Tanager (female)
Mallard with three ducklings in the west Beaver Pond
Yellow Warbler
