Hello All, I'm trying to identify a bird sound from up at Lost Creek Wilderness (East Lost Park area). It is a who, who, who that goes on for about 7-9 times, and is ascending in pitch. It is nocturnal and call comes from north facing conifer forest. From Sibley's, I think I narrowed it down to a short eared owl, but the geographical distribution may not fit.
