COBirders, A quick stop in the rain today at Brush Hollow turned up the continuing RED-THROATED LOON. Not much else of note. There were ~13 Western Grebes and a single Osprey also.
In Florence there were five ibis consisting of 1 adult GLOSSY IBIS (at least it looked "pure"), 1 adult White-faced Ibis, at least 2 youngster things that looked good for White-faced (red eyes and facial skin) and the last bird was a youngster also with a dark eye and it did not have pink facial skin. Anyway, interesting to see birds in this plumage in June in southeast CO. One of the young birds was showing a few iridescent feathers. Not much else happening in what little other birds I saw. ----- Mark Peterson Colorado Springs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Colorado County Birding: http://www.coloradocountybirding.com/ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
