Greetings friends, Between 12pm-3pm the Scarlet Tanager was vocalizing (often simultaneously alongside a western tanager only yards away in the adjacent tree) from various treetops west of pole 50. He's a feisty and nervous fella, but afforded me two exceptional looks at his striking electric-red plumage for several minutes.
Also saw one MacGillivray's warbler near pole 50 as well as numerous lazuli buntings and warbling vireo.
