Hi Everyone-

Today 6/20, Marcia Marvin and I did a loop through the Pawnee
consisting of CR 96/CR 69/CR 104 winding back to CR 100/CR 77
to Crow Valley Campground. The flower show alone was worth the
drive. For birds, we saw 3 Cassin's Sparrows singing from fenceposts
along CR 96 and heard another 10 or so. A Grasshopper Sparrow was
doing a very low-altitude display flight (fluttering about
mere inches above the ground) along CR 96. In the campground,
we found an active Orchard Oriole nest. The female brought
insects to the nest while the male sang nearby. McCown's
Longspurs and Lark Buntings were still doing a lot of displaying.
