casual birding only, BUT

 

Orchard Oriole singing strongly, Eastern Kingbird on nest,  both in
cottonwood in

Front of cabin # 7 on lake front.    Also the usual suspects:  both
goldfinches, western

Kingbird and wood-pewee, yellow warbler, cedar waxwing, bullock's
oriole, ALL in that

Cottonwood or its neighbor.  Yellow-breasted Chat called all night up
the hill.

 

$7 entry fee...also pretty nice cabins with electricity.

at 6,009 ft., 4 miles NW of Lyons, in open Ponderosa
