I have been hearing a vireo singing in the yard off and on all day. Tonight I
got a glimpse of the bird in the top of the tree. A definite line through the
eye but I thought over all rather grey.
I IDed it as a Red-eyed Vireo because it sang with a hurried whistled phrases.
National Geographic described them as singing all day long. The light color was
the only thing that made me wonder about my ID.
Rather early in the summer for my yard.
