A male Calliope Hummingbird dropped by for a drink as we had supper last night (July 6), but he didn't stay due to the rather rude behavior of a more frequent visitor, a male Broad-tailed. After Mr. C had his drink, he perched in the scrub oak for a minute or two, flared his gorget, and then departed.
