Today I spotted a pine siskin at my feeder wearing a leg band. It was  
healthy (and kinda good looking w/ bright yellow strips) and for a  
moment I wondered if it was some escaped exotic species, but no it was  
a siskin like the group it was with. I couldn't get a photo of the  
band to get any information, so this 'report' is pointless, except to  
say that I was pleased to see somebody was doing a study of these  
little guys.
