This past Sunday while rafting between Pumphouse and Rio del Rancho on
the Colorado River (downstream of Kremmling), I had a very nice look at
a male Common Goldeneye. He was easily approached, presumably because
he was molting his flight feathers and was unable to fly. This seems
like an odd time of year to find this species in CO. Does anyone know
if there are many prior summer records?

Thanks,
