In adddition to what was reported earlier today from Bonny Reservoir today, we
saw

2 NORTHERN CARDINALS,
a BALTIMORE ORIOLE,
a possible IMM. ORCHARD ORIOLE (my best guess),
a pair of INDIGO BUNTINGS,
a YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT,
2 SCREECH-OWLS (one gray-brown perched while a Great-horned Owl was being
mobbed, and later one reddish brown Screech-Owl being chased by small birds); I
assume they were Eastern.
a WARBLER-LIKE bird that was BABY-BLUE ABOVE AND WHITE BELOW. I have no idea if
Cerulean has ever been seen in Colorado (or if it is even possible) but that
was my "impression" as it flew from bushes on one side of the road and
immediately disappeared into the bushes on the other side. I have NO experience
with this bird. My husband is not a birder but he describled the bird the same
way. This was near where the road is closed at West Beach.
a RING-NECKED PHEASANT female with 6-7 chicks (late Saturday afternoon).
