This year's hummingbird fall migration started with very low numbers in my yard
in Lakewood. I only had a few sightings of the male Rufous and a Calliope that
stayed for a week in late July and early August. Even the numbers of
Broad-tails and Black-chinned seemed lower than usual. But, in the last week,
the numbers of immatures and females has really increased. We still have had
extremely low numbers of Rufous though! In order of abundance:

Black-chinned ( males and females)
Broad-tailed (male and female)
Calliope ( a few female/immature)
Rufous (one female/immature !)
