Hi Folks, 

Spent a good part of the afternoon searching for the NECO. I got to the area 
about 12:30 and at that time there were very few cormorants on the res and none 
on the sand spit on the West side of the lake. About 1:45 cormorants started 
streaming into the lake in small groups from the North and East. I was standing 
North of the unfinished house on the East side when a line of several birds 
flew over me to the lake. There was one much smaller, longer tailed bird which 
I suspect was the NECO. When I left at about 2:30 there were probably 200 
cormorants on the sand spit.
