Back from 6 weeks traveling and birding in Canada, Rockies, the prairies which were great , and the midwest. Walking yesterday in Wash. Park in Denver. By the Children's fishing pond we saw an old friend, a Black-crowned Night Heron who we have watched for years, A few minutes later we saw a streaked version of the heron, stalking on the other side of the pond.
